Community. Commitment. Experience. Knowledge. Family. The words that clearly define what it means to be an independent insurance agency for a small community in Connecticut.
For me, it’s 30+ years in the business working first on the carrier side, then exporting that valuable knowledge to the independent agency side. I understand how carriers work and how they think from an underwriting and claims perspective.
What does that mean for my clients? I’m not going to sell them anything they don’t need, nor will I NOT offer them something they have a need for due to a gap in coverage. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do. Some clients just aren’t right for us. We don’t offer bare bones policies or take on clients who don’t understand the value of working with an Agent. We become part of our business clients’ inner circle of Trusted Advisors and we become part of the family for our personal clients.
It’s all about protecting against the what ifs. Insurance is simply a 1-year contract based on a promise. The carrier absorbs the risk so my clients can sleep at night. When does it really matter? When something bad happens, when a claim is presented. I make sure that every base is covered so my clients understand their risk and are insured properly to protect them.
Sounds simple, but it’s not.
We can say we’re the best, as most agents do. That won’t convince you to buy from us. I can tell you once you meet with us and join our team – we have a 99.9% satisfaction rating when it comes to Claims – that point in time when the insurance policy really matters. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Need to know more about me?
I started my career right out of the University of Connecticut as a Claims Representative with Metropolitan Property and Casualty and quickly moved into the role of Litigation Specialist and then onto Commercial Underwriting with The Hartford. I enjoyed working with agents and helping them grow their businesses, so I took the role with Utica National Insurance as a Marketing Representative where I handled the entire state of Connecticut.
The Family business drew me into the fold in 1991 and I haven’t looked back. I run the agency with my brother Vince and my sister Sue – yes, we all get a long! Our agency is small, committed to the community and our clients, many of whom we’ve had for generations.
Community is a big deal for us at ViVenzio – drilled into us by our parents (Irish and Italian thing!) and frankly we all love it. Here’s a few things I’m passionate about and involved with: Tolland Chamber of Commerce, St. Joseph’s Men’s Club, Sponsorship for Vernon Little League, past Vice President of Vernon Youth Baseball, Rec. Basketball Coach for High School Students in Vernon/Rockville, Basketball Coach at St. Joseph School Rockville Grades 5-8, and last but not least past Manager and Coach for Babe Ruth Baseball.
